150 Otis Street, constructed in 1916, was designed by master Architect Louis Christian Mullgardt as a combined juvenile court and detention home.  Carey & Co. was the preservation consultant for the adaptive use of the building into housing for homeless veterans. The firm prepared a National Register of Historic Places nomination, a Historic Preservation Tax Credit application, materials for review by San Francisco’s Historic Preservation Commission, and materials for environmental review (CEQA and Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act.)
