Jose Theater

San Jose, CA
Commercial | Theaters

Constructed in 1904, the Jose Theater is the oldest theater building in San Jose, and when constructed, was billed as the first theater built solely for vaudeville in the United States. The project involved façade restoration, including replicating missing terracotta cresting, masonry cleaning and restoration, and repair and lighting of the Art Deco marquee. On the interior, lobby and main house work included finish repairs following seismic upgrades and conversion to an Improvisational Comedy Club.
