San Francisco, CA
Environmental Review | Evaluations & Nominations | Planning

Carey & Co. prepared a Historic Resources Technical Report as part of the EIR for the redevelopment of a portion of this San Francisco neighborhood. Within the survey boundary and out of 97 properties along Leland Avenue, the firm identified eight properties as eligible for the California Register of Historic Resources. The Schlage Lock site consists of 14 buildings, nine of which are associated with the Schlage Lock Company and the remaining five with the Southern Pacific Railroad. Evaluation of these properties resulted in an eligible historic district. In addition, the firm identified potential impacts of proposed development schemes on historic resources, recommended mitigation measures, and held a community workshop with the Citizen’s Advisory Committee for the redevelopment area.
